Weed cubes
No, not that kind of weed. These are edible greens saved in ice cube trays to add to soups and other dishes through the winter.

Local dandelions, broadleaf plantain, lamb's ear, giant ragweed, ground ivy, and many other common weeds are quite nutritious. Some are fine in salads, others needs to be cooked in soups. Verify it really is the edible plant you think it is and that it's not been sprayed with anything, harvest some, add to blender with a couple teaspoons of olive oil, blend, and add to ice cube trays. After a few hours, move the cubes into a labelled freezer bag.

Add a cube of whatever to food and after a while you'll recognize which go best with which food. Midwest US back yards are full of weeds with better nutrition than many vegetables from the grocery store.

That's a great idea.

I make large batches of pesto and freeze it in ice cube trays. Makes for an easy way to add basil to sauces and such during the winter. Although, I also like to have a live hydroponic basil plant in the winter.

Wife does do what gus does with pesto.

Probably not something I would do. But does sound feasible and probably worthwhile given the time to sort it out.
