This book is obviously fiction, but it is worth a read because it is so plausible.

The author is “A. American” and the book is about a guy on the road, heading home when an EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) kills the electronics in his truck and all the vehicles around him. Phone is dead, vehicles dead.
The rest of the story is - Going Home.

If I were to lead a discussion group on Disaster and Survival Preparedness, this would be required reading.

It is the reason I have a bug-out bag in my truck.

I enjoyed this series.
However it starts to get a bit far-fetched in the later books lol...

That exact scenario is why I NEVER leave home unarmed.

It seems to me to be the most likely event to precipitate a survival situation.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

“One Second After”, the effects of an EMP attack on a small college town in North Carolina and how they survive by William Forstchen.

Just another day in paradise.

The series and the one second after series were excellent.
