Hey All. I scored a decent DAO P229R the other day. Wanting to convert back to DA/SA, ...and low an behold... it has the old magazine disconnect. Any advise other than to get a new frame? Thanks in advance.

I believe some magazine disconnects can be defeated. If not, why is that a show stopper?

Reason being the old style dissconnector does not allow for the magazine to drop free... thats a no-go in my book. I am working a fix. Thanks.

Can you take a picture of the type disconnect you have? I might be able to help you.
