Do---or do not. There is no try. |
My agency has been contacted by Sig regarding an issue with the extractor on the Sig 556 patrol rifle that can cause a failure to extract. They want the rifles back to fix the problem. Anybody here know about what’s going on? Thanks.

If I understand correctly, your agency hasn't experienced any systemic stoppages with your 556 rifles but was still contacted by SIG about some sort of reliability upgrade? The 55X platform has a vigorous ejection and it would be interesting to learn what SIG does to correct this FTE issue. Please keep us informed.

Still trying to get more specific info, I’ll keep asking around.

Answered this in your other thread, but, its most likely a pro-active fix for trouble-plagued short gas Patrol length guns.
