Mustang-PaPaGo to Top Gun Supply and look at the pictures for the 220 and 226 sears and see if that helps you identify which is which.

siggumGood idea about looking at pictures on TopGun, but they only have one view from the side and they look identical. I know they're different because they have differt part numbers. I just need a front view and maybe some dimension info. Anyone else?

Chris OrndorffI believe they are interchangeable other than standard vs SRT sear.

sigfreundThis is from an old years-ago parts list. Although I haven’t tried to keep up with parts numbers, SIG has changed their numbering system at times and these may not be current. As shown, though, the two parts are listed separately so I believe they are different.
Description Part number: 34221048
SEAR
Models: P220, P245
Calibers: .45ACP
Description Part number: 34225322
SEAR
Models: P225, P226, P228, P229, P239
Calibers: 9MM/.40S&W/.357SIG
The same is true of the DAK sears for the different guns, although DAK sears can be used in non-DAK pistols. DAK sears differ from the older sears with the addition of a relief cut on one side to permit it to rotate farther in the DAK operation. A picture:

siggumThank you for the picture and description of the DAK sear. I think you're right about the P220 and P226 parts being interchangeable. I'm going to pull a couple of these guns apart and do a direct examination. Where can I get a parts list with the updated numbering system?

sigfreundWell, according to this, the P220 and P226 sears are now the same part.
https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/SEAR-2I believe there have been other times when SIG started with different parts for different models, only to later make a single part that works in the models that were previously separate.
