I have a early 90s sig p-228. double action pull hard so I replaced it with a Sig Armory Strut with 20lb the original grips which I like would not fit, any one know what modification I have to do to make these grips to fit.

The new style mainspring seat is larger than the old-style steel seat, and interferes with some of the plastic support structure at the rear of the older grips. You can carefully dremel or file this area of the grips away to accommodate the new-style seat without changing the function or appearance of the grips at all when they're installed.
