P365 reassembly problem Login/Join

I disassembled my P365 for cleaning. When I began to reassemble it the takedown lever would only move about halfway toward the straight down position. At that point it hits a hard stop and won't go any further. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This explains what to do when the takedown lever won't move.
