Options for converting SigPro 2340 .40 to 9mm Login/Join

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out what my options are for converting my SigPro 2340 in 40 cal to a 9mm.

I've scoured the web and message boards looking for someone selling a second hand bar-sto conversion drop in but have not been able to find anything.

Would a 2022 9mm factory barrel work OK? Anyone have any other ideas or thoughts other than just buying another gun? Anyone know of any other companies that would make one?

Thanks!

Rog

Yes a factory 9mm barrel drops in and functions adequately. I've used both 9mm and .40 magazines without problems, but I would put slightly more faith in the 9mm magazines.
The 9mm barrel fits a little loose because the breach block cutout is wider for the .40S&W/.357sig but for range use it works fine. I would NOT recommend this configuration for carry use, but for range time on the same trigger at a slightly cheaper ammo price it works fine. Mine normally rides with the .357sig barrel.
I've only tried it with 9mm NATO spec ammo, which is slightly hotter than standard ball ammo, because I never acquired a 9mm recoil spring, not sure if weaker ammo will cycle the action with the heavier spring which comes with the SP2340.

Barsto at one time made a conversion barrel, but I don't know if that is still the case. It's not listed on their website. I'm not aware of anyone else that ever made a conversion barrel for the SP.

Top Gun lists the non-TB 9mm version in stock:

Gratuitous picture of everything. Wink

I've used my SP2009 barrel in my SP2340 and it worked just fine. Like stoic-one said it has a tiny bit of play but it worked without issue.

Awesome - thanks!

Any idea if it's OK to use an LCI 9mm barrel in it? CDNN has them on sale for $99 but not sure if it would work?

It will work just fine.

BTW, you may need to use a 9mm recoil spring.

That would be my recommendation as well if you're going to be shooting off the shelf SAAMI spec non+P ammo.
