I'm thinking of converting my p226 to DAO. I checked the FAQ at Topgun Supply and it says that I only need a DAO hammer and hammer strut pin. Why the hammer strut pin? Isn't there one already in the SA/DA hammer? or is it differant in some why?
I believe that's because, at some point, not all hammers came with the strut pin installed. I guess most people would rather leave the pin in their original hammer than punch it out to install it on another one.
The last few hammers I've purchased have included the pin, but they weren't DAO hammers.
