Hi,So far I have info that the dovetail cut used is 70° has anyone any other info that might shed some light on this mystery ? And if it is 70° why Brownells do not list a cutter for 70° they have 60 and 65 and 74° any help would be great,I'm trying to move my LPA sight forward so its not hanging off the rear of the slide, looking to have the same as the Sig p226 long dust cover which uses the same sight but milled further up the slide. Thanks Tezza PS not looking for the name of a smith just info on th e correct angle of the dovetail, cheers

Sig dovetails are 70 degree measured from the base angle. Brownells also lists cutters by using the angles from the base of the dovetails. Other manufacturers specify the dovetail from the included angle (perspective from the Center line of the cutter). A 40 degree cutter from Harvey tools will cut the proper 70 degree Sig dovetail. -Scott -NRA Pistol Instructor -NRA Shotgun Instructor -NRA Range Safety Officer -NRA Metallic cartridge & Shotgun Reloading Instructor -MA Certified Firearms Instructor
