Hey all-

I noticed that Majestic is no longer making the Speed-Strip. Does anyone know if it was due to lack of demand or was there an issue?
Years ago, I had one installed in my Mark II 22/45. It seemed like a neat solution. I'm not aware of any downside. I wonder if I should convert it back and "man up" and get better at the old proper procedure.

Has anyone here gone back after installing one?

"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

“It is just as difficult and dangerous to try to free a people that wants to remain servile as it is to try to enslave a people that wants to remain free."
-Niccolo Machiavelli

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -Mencken

When Dino (the owner) died there wasn't anybody to take his place as far as making/supplying parts. The wife and kid(s?) kept the website running but as items became "out of stock" there wasn't ever any restocking.

I had a number of parts on order with Majestic just after Dino died but one or two were out of stock and I was assured (via phone call) that more were on the way. Never happened and more and more of my order went that way. After a year I cancelled and haven't bothered with them since.
