I need to replace the sights on my P226. I loaned my P series tool out and it never came back. Does anyone have one I can borrow? I'll pay shipping both ways, of course, plus I'll toss in a karma for the kindness. Nice is overrated "It's every freedom-loving individual's duty to lie to the government." Whoa, someone borrowed your tool and it never came back? On this forum? A few months ago, another member was kind enough to loan me his. If he doesn’t reply here, I can email you. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. If it was to someone on SF, then you need to name names, and that person should be banned.

It was not a member of SIGforum. I helped with the now-defunct unoffical SIGforum sight tool loaner program. As far as I know, we never lost a tool. No, mine was lent to someone who failed to return it, then a few years later he died, and I didn't manage to get it from the estate. Herkdriver, I'm sending you an email from the account in my profile. Nice is overrated "It's every freedom-loving individual's duty to lie to the government." Airsoftguy, June 29, 2018

Regarding sights & sight tools... *Which sight tool are you using? *Do you like it? *Would you recommend it? *How accurate are the registration marks on the tool? (In other words, do you find that you have to re-adjust windage after installation/shooting? Or is the tool accurate enough to trust?). Thank you.

I have a few. They each have their merits & weaknesses. Yes, as long as you're aware of its limitations. For instance, MGW's work great, but the older discontinued models were brand & model specific. Their Sight Pro Universal requires buying special shoes for different brands & models, which is expensive if you only use it a couple times. FYI, MGW tool numbers: 307 - Sig Legacy P-series guns 308 - Beretta 92 series 309 - Glock sights w/ angled sides 309S - Glock sights w/ perpendicular sides 310 - 1911 312 - HK USP, P2000 314 - Beretta PX4 Storm, Cougar, 8000 318 - S&W M&P 319 - S&W M&P Shield 320 - Sig Pro SP series A common problem w/ sight pushers is if the tool can push the sight w/o breaking it. A lot of them weren't designed w/ tall suppressor height sights or long fiber optic sights in mind. I don't go by the marks on the tool. I eye out &/or measure the sights on the dovetail. IMHO, there are too many things to introduce error to rely on the registration marks on a sight tool.
