I'm curious if this conversion would be relatively straightforward for a gunsmith to accomplish. The reason I ask is that I have an Ed Brown KC9 and would prefer the pistol have a roundtail similar to a Sig Nightmare 1911 or S&W 1911SC E-Series.

EGW makes a mainspring housing that should help you out and I'm sure someone could round it the way you want it.
