22LR conversion kit West German 38 Super auto

I have just purchased a Sig Sauer P220 22lr kit , for my west German p220 38 super auto. For the life of me i can not get the recoil spring guide to be flush with barrel .

Are you saying the Recoil Spring Guide is recessed into the Slide, or that it extends beyond the Muzzle? And by how much? Can you post a pic?
