Sig Fuse Slide Hang Up
Hello all,

I just replaced the backplate on a 365 Fuse and *cleaned out the firing pin channel but didn't fool with the pin assembly or oil.

After re-assembly (3 times now) the slide hangs up right at the very beginning of racking the slide. It feels like maybe the leg of the firing pin on the sear or maybe the firing pin sleeve is "hanging up" on something only in that place.

I'm stumped.... thank you for your help

Is your take down lever flush when trying to reinstall the slide? Without raising the slide release and further rolling the take down lever a P365 won’t reassemble correctly.

We can eliminate other sources or obstruction as we go.

ETA: wait, it’s reassembled and won’t rack once installed? I assume it didn’t do this before. Does it rack completely to the rear with just a little hang up?

If it’s well lubed I would rack it and shoot it about 100 times to see if it clears up.

Before this, make sure the recoil spring assembly went back in correctly, sometimes the takedown lever can catch it. See my first thought about take down levers.

Are you able to take and post pictures of the underside of the slide where the firing pin and housing are? Can you manually pull the firing pin back will the slide if off?

I'm not sure I'm understanding what's happening. Does the slide rack completely, just with a bit of a hangup early in the travel that has to be overcome, or will the slide not cycle at all?

I replaced the backplate and found the plastic part that retains it is easily damaged. Look closely at the portion of the retainer to see if it is interfering with the slide movement. The Fuse backplate does not come off like 320 or older 365s do.

can you put the original back plate back on and see if it works?

That's interesting...would you be able to share pics? I've popped the plate on plenty of P365s, but have only ever handled a Fuse in a gun shop. I'm curious what the differences are.

Cant take photos of the Fuse. I sold it to generate funds for an FN Reflex XL
