Greetings, I cannot get my sight plate to come off. Screws came out fine. There is no room between plate and slide to fit a blade. I tried wiggling the plate back and forth with needle nose pliers using the sides of the screw recess area (not the thread holes) but no luck. Also tried a nylon punch to move it, again using screw recess area but no luck. Any ideas? Really want to get my Romeo X mounted.

You might try a shot of freeze spray on the plate, then try to move it. Maybe heat up the slide a bit first, then spray the plate.* Freeze spray * Disclaimer - I've never tried this technique on a slide. We use freeze spray at work to diagnose electronic circuits. It makes things very cold for a short time. "Being miserable and treating other people like dirt is every New Yorker's God-given right!" - GhostBusters II "You have all the tools you need. Well, I shot two matches with the gun doing 200+ rounds hoping the plate would loosen but no go. Had to send it back to Sig. I guess they had trouble too since they sent a replacement optic's plate to replace the damaged one. Now to mount the Romeo X
