What is the surface treatment on these? I assume they are carbon steel with either a black manganese phosphate, or more likely black oxide finish.

I just got 7 here, but these are the German LEO trade-ins with heavy finish wear.

I'm willing to black phosphate/parkerize them, or black oxide. The chemistry is only @$30, and I have a hot plate I can use outside.
