This is more of an observation, but our latest Colorado mass shooting was, once again, a failure of the "red flag" gun laws to work. The shooter was know to police, was in the system for making bomb threats, and was still allowed to purchase the weapons he used in the shooting. So much for the system working.
Guess it's easier to blame an gun rather than the screwball that committed the crime or the fact that he was allowed (a LE failure, IMHO) to purchase the firearms in the first place.
I'd be interested in hearing your feelings on the subject.
