A law passed at the end of 2018, which will take effect on 3/24/2019, was supposed to expand gun rights in Ohio, but apparently contains a mistake that could actually outlaw many or all semi-automatic rifles.

Some believe, as in the article linked below, that this is very bad indeed. Others, such as the organization that helped write the bill, say it is being blown out of proportion.

I can't find a definitive answer as to how bad this really is.

So apparently the version that passed the house was correct, but somehow something got moved when it was forwarded to the senate. The governor vetoed the version passed by the senate, and then both houses overrode the veto. Was this even legally passed in the first place since the version originally passed by the two houses didn't match?

Regardless, they have supposedly introduced emergency legislation in both houses to return it to the version originally passed by the house.
