vthokyI think a Dem just admitted what we all knew already -- the gun isn't the problem
In an article on FoxNews this morning, James Talarico (Texas Senate candidate) is quoted:
quote:
"Dangerous people should not be allowed to get guns," Talarico added, doubling down on his red-flag proposals, policies that aim to screen would-be gun buyers against stiffer background checks."
Admittedly, I'm taking one statement from an entire article. But my statement remains.
By saying that
dangerous people ought not have guns, he's essentially admitting that
the gun is not the problem, right?

dking271Who gets to decide who is a “dangerous person”? The goal posts on Red Flag laws will move until everyone who desires a firearm for self defense will be prohibited. You and I may know it’s not the gun, it’s the crazy person pulling the trigger. They don’t care and just want to disarm their political adversaries.

vthokyI don’t disagree with your statement at all.
It’s all about
control. And our politicians think they’re better than us and get to control us.

vthokyI believe the bulk of the politicians are the dangerous people, but that's just my snarky opinion.
