Nice buck - tell me about the rifle and the distance in which it was harvested.

Thanks.

Rifle is a SAKO Left Hand AV action Finnbear with Leupold 4.5-14 VX3 scope and Optilock mounts + 6.5x55, 140 grain Remington PSPCL over 45 grains H4350. Range was about 75 yards.

Here is my daughter Jasmine with her first deer. A little 7 point dink but she was happy with it and so was I. She shot it from about 165 yards with a Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55 Swede. Little fella only weighed about 150 pounds which isn't very big for the deer around Rappahannock County VA.

Dad, who cares how big it is. You taught your daughter how to shoot and hunt. Good on you both.

Jim

When I was twice her age I would have given my right arm for that deer! Just the opportunity to shoot something like that should not be taken for granted.

Took the large doe Saturday afternoon at about 125 yards.

Found the muzzleloader bullet in the off side hide.

Do elk (in the deer family) count? Here's a couple of bulls my grandson and I teamed up on in Wyoming. (I backed up his shot on one and he backed me up on the other. Wink)

An elk is a deer to me.

The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Nice. I killed one that looked very similar in CO when I lived out there. Fella was so full of corn, I don't think he could run from me if he tried Wink Never got a picture but yours could have been his twin.
