There was a nice little birdie:

And a bridge:

And a squirrel:

And a waterfall:

And a very long walk, not to mention a vicious set of stairs, to get back to where one can see the waterfall:

Which almost made me dizzy (just playin'):

Cleveland rocks - and it also has my A-1 brother - I'll tell you all about him sometime - and his wife and wonderful daughter. Here's my brother and his little girl:

I want Neva to fly with me and carry a camera.

Just tell me where to point the plane.

So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause.

*blush*

Thanks, BOS and Dan.

I also saw one or two other things.

Poor bird looked kind of cranky.

So... dude really wanted that carrot badly - couldn't figure out a way to fit them lips through that fence. I finally overcame my fear and put it through the fence.

And then there's this boy (don't ask how I know he's a boy.)

DCM7 - Yes, Brandywine - really pretty back there but if you know the falls, you know those stairs down to it. That was a personal challenge - especially because I am terrified of heights.

Crescendo - oh, not even close - due to some changing circumstances, I didn't get to do the last thing I planned for the little trip which was take the ferry over to Put In Bay, have dinner and then come back. Would have been fun but I ran out of time. And I only just ran across the top of Ohio and still didn't see half there was to see.

lengkeek - Thank you - the US has so many lovely "backyard" treasures - I just love finding them.

Neva,
The stairs down to the observation can be daunting. I am glad you made the trek. When you visit again, consider the one mile loop which starts in the southwest corner of the lot for the bed & breakfast across the ravine. The trail travels along the ravine ultimately coming to a point where one can cross farther downstream. Once across the stream the options are to travel up the closed road to the parking area or take the trail, relatively steep, with switchbacks which brings one out farther up the closed road.

Regards,
Will M.

Looks like the new Veterans' Glass City Skyway Bridge over the muddy Maumee River, I-280 in Toledo,OH.
The center structure actually has LED illumination of 16 million or so patterns/sequences.

Yep, that's it - looked like sort of a pointless structure, but definitely had a hey, that's cool factor. It's nice to know it's a memorial to all veterans.

He loved carrots - I went through three 2-lb bags of them - moslty between the zebras, camels and giraffes.

Honestly, though, I do not think I would go back to that particular place. I went there because I had such a wonderful time at the one I went to in TX, but there, for the most part, the animals were not behind fences in pens. I still had a nice time, but I doubt I would go back.

This guy liked carrots, too, but I was scared to let him get too close to the car with those horns. Pretty sure they could do some damage.
