In that last shot, the vertical line of demarcation between the snow on the hill in the background and the no-snow is startling.

Mostly day hike.

I have routes I beat down and then other jaunts I do. Winter travel is highly variable and under some conditions I can be limited to 4 or 5 miles or ten or 12. No groomed trails so it is trail-breaking all the way, or halfway if I turned back and run my track home.
