looks nice, I've tried their wine in Dahlonega and always have wanted to head to the vineyard. What style was the sparkling wine ? My wife loves prosecca and muscat di asti, it would be fun to have a local wine in one of those styles.

Here's from their website.

http://www.wolfmountainvineyards.com/about_our_wines.htm
While many wineries inject still wines with carbon dioxide (CO2) gas to render them effervescent, Wolf Mountain Vineyards produces sparkling wines using the French-style Méthode Champenoise.

quote:

2006 Blanc de Blancs Brut
Meaning white from white this dry sparkling chardonnay expresses our signature style; light yet complex, crisp, fruity, and elegant. A light bread flavor was imparted by aging en tirage (on the yeast) for almost a year. This combined with hints of citrus, spice notes and crisp acidity make this our premier sparkling wine. This wine is exquisite with a light citrus salad, caviar, or crabcakes.

Man, Butch there were a bunch of motocycles up that way this weekend.

There were your usual tourers out enjoying the day up in the hills and then there were the dirtbags and racers giving the tourers a bad image.

Too bad the bad ones outnumber the tourers 10 to 1.
