These huge birds are a treat to watch. We took a ride on Sunday to see if any would cooperate for pictures. We saw a total of 17 in 2 hours, all soaring back to rest from their morning flight.

These have a 10 foot wingspan and there are only 64 in AZ and UT.

Beautiful birds, but I hope for your sake that they're not bring California style ammunition bans with them.


I'm not fluent in the language of violence, but I know enough to get around in places where it's spoken.

Me and a friend were visiting the Mountain Meadows Massacre site on Saturday. As we were driving down to the memorial I saw these 2 large birds on the ground. I told my friend that they were turkeys since I've seen them there before. As we got closer they started to fly and landed in the trees. We stopped to look and they were Condors. I wish I would have had my camera.
