I regularly have Barred Owls on our property so I enjoy seeing other types.

The eyes on that thing are awesome.

We do too. Years ago we had a Barred Owl every late afternoon/early evening show up on the same branch of the same tree for about a month. Very cool animals.

I think you're right about the species. It looks very much like Tootsie, the Northern Saw-whet Owl at the Alaska Raptor Center in Sitka
