xl_targetFall Colors in Southern MN
An early morning stroll on the trails of a nearby park yielded the image.
The setting sun set the trees ablaze, under a looming rainstorm.
Just outside of town, on the way home from work.

xl_targetGood Eye Goose!
The first photo was taken about three miles from St. Peter at a place called Seven Mile Creek Park.

armoredJust spent a couple days in Henderson MN.
The drive here was gorgeous.

I took a couple NRA classes at the Henderson Gun Club. A very small range on top of a hill, beautiful setting,I commented that if it was not a small gun range it could be a old cemetery.
I was told that during the summer they have a car show on Main St. every Tuesday, I would love to visit that.
GREAT AREA!

KevboMy wife's whole family is from northern Minnesota. For the majority of our marriage we spent 2 weeks in the late summer/early fall visiting her family up there. I would always drive up and over the UP to get up there
Beautiful country
Unfortunately we buried her last relative up there, her grandfather, in Arlington last spring
It's strange an area and place that had become so much a constant for years I don't know that I will ever go back to now
As I get older it gets shocking how things are there, and seem like they will always be there, and then are just suddenly gone

xl_targetIt used to be a good Walleye lake when I first moved there about 20 years ago.
..but... see those black dots in the trees by the left hand edge of the image? In the last few years we have had large flocks of Cormorants spend their summers on the lake.
They are protected birds now and cannot be disturbed. You don't see many people fishing the lake anymore as it is just not worth it.

Beautiful shots. The one, and just about the only thing, I miss about MD is the change of seasons. MD being in the Eastern hardwood forest, it's incredible to see the colors. Now, in AZ, we just see mesquite and palo verde trees dropping their leaves.
