The 2017 GA State match is in the books. The wife and I had a great time. Thursday was the "Wild Bunch" side match. This match is shot with a Pistol Caliber Lever Action Rifle .40 caliber or larger, 1897 or Model 12 Shotgun, and a 1911. Slightly different format than a regular SASS match.
Friday and Saturday: Main Match. I was doing great until the first stage on the second day. I fumbled with a reload and it cost me first place. I came in second in my category. The wife came in 3rd in her category. Both Bea and I shot clean (no misses) only 24 out of 182.

Bisleyblackhawk,
I fixed the links. Try it now. Will you annual match be in September again? I want to come back, but our match Director, Krazy Kajun just had his second heart-attack and I may have to run the match at Cherokee if it is the 4th Saturday!

Thanks Rolan...looks like a good time was had by all...those last few photos show a distinguished looking bunch of folks
As far as I know the shoot will be on the 4th Saturday in September..
Sorry to hear about KK...did he have the heart attack at or after the GA State?
How's he doing?
I haven't checked the Ranger's forum today to see if our folks know...if not, would it be OK to post it there?

Bisley, They did a cath procedure on him and put in another stint. He should be fine. He has already posted an update on Facebook, so he'll be going home tomorrow.

Good shooting!
