I shot an IDPA match last Sunday. I took my camera, but got roped into being an SO, so I didn't take any pictures. A guy on our squad took some and sent them to me. Great sunny day!

Atlanta folks. Come on out the first Sunday of the month and shoot with us. Sign in is at 12:30, we usually shoot until about 5:00.

Sign in before the match at Cherokee www.cherokeegunclub.org

Rita shoots from cover

Bud shoots while Rolan Runs the Timer

Rolan shoots. Man those targets are a long way out for a 3" Ruger!

I shot a smaller IDPA match on Sunday. It was a lot of fun and 15 shooters with a round count of 76 took us just over 4 hours from registration to cleanup.

We unfortunately had to shoot indoors in a smaller range, so our scenarios weren't that great. I too was a SO so my camera was useless.

Two things;
Those look ar away, what ranges were you shooting at?

You're stepping out from behind the Bianchi barricade, I always thought you had to keep your feet in the box. Did the scenario require it, or is that not an actual limitation for the cover?

That was the farthest we shot that day. Probably about 30 yards. Then the next scenario was 3 yards, so it evened out.

As for the barricade, it didn't state, so we made our own rules. We're more in it for the fun.

I was so ticked saturday night, i had all my gear set out and ready to go, i was going to shoot my 2.5" smith 66 for the first time in IDPA. I went to my friends house to spar/work out and ended up falling asleep on their couch afterwards. I woke up 15 minutes after the shoot started. Oh well, there is always next weekend, looks like you guys had fun.

As for the barracade, the old rules made it sound like as long as 50% of your body is behind cover you are ok, i know i have been dinged for putting a foot out in my very limited expierence in USPSA but never in IDPA. I could very well be wrong, most of the places i shoot its all for fun as well.
