SC, does the drift punch go right up against the sight's base and tap tap tap?

mm6mm6, I really did not need to see that rifle. I am jealous...real jealous, it is beautiful! Can you start a new thread with more photos of this beautiful piece of art? I want a lever gun so bad, and think this is one of the most beautiful I have seen in quite some time. Awesome modifications, beautiful engraving, this rifle is perfect.

Then I applied several coats of Lin Speed Oil with 00 steel wool in between to give it a nice satin finish like the Marlins from 120 years ago. I added a saddle ring and a John Wayne custom lever along with an action job and spring kit from Wolff. My dad cut the barrel down to 16" for me. The engraving is by Michael Gouse ( www.mtart.com ) Here's my .44 Magnum 1894:

Now you just need to hop on over to these websites and starting dreaming and saving your money:

That be the way.

The original may tap out easier than the new one goes in.
And a little more than a tap may be required.
I've put in BUNCHES of sights.
Only one did I need to "dress up" a little to get it to tap in.
(after a little cold bluing on the area)
