New here, new to SIG and new to firearms in general. I've got a P6 on layaway, am collecting various types of 9mm, and once I get my address change sorted out, a CPL. I'm pretty young so I came up shooting airsoft crap and airguns, but during that time I decided I was a Sig and 1911 guy, great grip angles, just comfy guns. This was cemented in my mind when I started hitting the range and shooting rentals, nothing I've shot so far beats the ergo's of these two designs.

Plus they sure are pretty. Big Grin

Kinda bummed out that I decided to go with the P6 now that J&G has 226's for about the same price as I'm paying, but still very happy to be part of the signess.

Welcome! What part of the sound are you from?

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1785.

Welcome from across the lake.

Don't be bummed out, I bought my first Sig recently, and it was a P226 in 357. I was later bummed out that I didn't save the money on a cheaper gun that I would feel better about beating up, and a cheaper round to train with. You made a good call.

Hey thanks for all the welcomes.

Where are you I-5 Corridor guys shooting? I've shot at Champion in Kent and Sams in Lynwood, tried to shoot at Wades but they wouldn't let me as I wasn't carrying. (Heard it was some liability thing, guess they had a suicide over there.)

390FE- What's the 390 in? Galaxie, Fairlane, Ranchero, Mustang?

I usually shoot at Sam's or out-in-the-forest. But I checked out and am impressed with...

Greetings from the South Sound. I've shot at Bullseye in Tacoma and the Marksman in Puyallup. I'd recommend the Marksman out of the two and neither can actually compare to the facilities up north that have had more money and real estate to open a facility. Sadly I'm in between any facility by 45 minutes whether it's Puyallup/Tacoma or Shelton.

I LOVE their rental lineup with the AOW's and SBR's, but the $250 dollar membership required to shoot them is out of my range for now.

I also want to check out the new West Coast Armory range in Factoria, I don't know much about it or if it's open yet.

How far is the buffer zone between Civilization and Shoot Friendly woods?

Jim,
Welcome to the SIGforum from Georgia and Michigan. I trust that you'll be happy with your Sig regardless. Like you, I'm a 1911 devotee as well. I just purchased a Fusion 1911 Tact-5 in .45 ACP. It's so smooth and fits so beautifully in my hand, I wish that I could carry it with a modicum of unobtrusiveness. I have not figured that out yet.
