I have been reading here and y'all sound like a great group and a well informed group. Up front, I will say the 226 in 9mm is one of top five semi-auto pistol favorites, along with the 1911, BHP, Glock 19(second generation only), and (hold on to your britches) the Beretta 950B in .25 ACP. But, I have never met a pistol I didn't like as long as it was reliable. Some I like are the Walther PP/PPK/PPK/S/P38/P5, H&K P7, the PA63 and the SMC918, Beretta M9 (although it is more of a club than a pistol), the older sleek S&W 39/59 or the newer 411/915/910, Makarov, CZ 75/85/82, Glock 22, Seecamp .32, and the Ruger MKI/II/III .22 target pistols. The XDs, new Smith M/Ps, H&Ks are all fine pistols but they have not grown on me yet. I look forward to discussing our common ground and cussin' our diffences.
