Hi guys - My name is Mike (docent), and I just recently purchased a Sig 226 MK25. Been a shooter since Lincoln. I actually own a 1858 Remington .44 used in the Civil War. Looking forward to talking guns with all of you. Took the name "docent" because I volunteer at several charities around my area. Glad to be part of this forum
Welcome from OHIO Mike. I did not know you could still own guns in Ca.?
Sorry about the Ca. joke hope you enjoy the site as much as you enjoy guns. I like that gun you bought and have been kicking around getting one. I have plenty of Sigs, not that one. My favorite Sig right now is my 1911 C3. For many years I gave up on .45s and then I shot this one and wow.

Hi Wyoming - Yes, it sure has changed. Been in Simi since 68, when Simi had only 1 stop light. But what put us on the map, was the Ronald Reagan Presidental Library. Very proud that its here. Thanks all for the nice welcome
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
