Hey all...new guy here. I live in Central NH about 30 miles from SIG. I've been a shooter since I was a kid, shooting rats at the town dump and on the farm with my dad's 22 pistol. I spent six years in the navy 75-81 and returned to NH after my enlistment ended. I have a dozen or so long guns and pistols and a revolver (a Colt Python, my pride and joy)... I have been wanting a SIG for a year or two but finances never let me do it with a clear conscience. This past week I sold off a bunch of sound equipment that I was no longer using and went to my LGS this weekend and bought the SP2022. I had a pretty strict budget I was working inside so whatever I bought needed to be under $500. After looking at a half dozen guns, I settled on the 2022...the DA trigger is a bit stiff but the SA trigger is great for a sub $500 pistol. I'm taking it to the range this afternoon after work for a shakedown cruise. Seems like a great forum...

I do...in fact I bought the SIG at Shooters. I am a regular at both places. I've been going to Rileys since the early eighties. I do what I can to keep them both in business. When I'm back home in northern NH, I also hit up The Village Gunstore in Whitefield where I bought my first .22 rifle in the 70s and my Colt 1911 in the mid eighties, both of which I still have.

Well, I went to the range after work and shot two mags in about ten minutes but it was so cold, I packed up and went home. By the time I threw everything back in the range bag, I couldn't feel my fingers. The thirty rounds I sent into the sandbox went with no issues whatsoever but the trigger is going to take a bit to get used to. It's very smooth but doesn't break until it's almost against the back of the guard. From what I've read, that is normal.

Welcome from the Seacoast. Enjoy the new Sig but be aware they can be addictive. "You know, Scotland has its own martial arts. Yeah, it's called Fuck You. It's mostly just head butting and then kicking people when they're on the ground." - Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers in "So I Married an Axe Murderer")

I live just far enough away that I need to think about going and it's probably just as well(I live a bit north of Concord). I usually hit both Shooter's and Riley's in the same trip. I want to take a drive to Epping and visit the mothership.

Lucky to have a couple great shops nearby. I make a visit over there every couple months. Nothing like them over here without driving clear up to Burlington almost. !~God Bless the U.S. Military~!
