Hello. New to the board and new to Sig. Just picked up a P226 Extreme that had 15 rounds put through it before being put in a safe for the past 2 years.

I have one question that I haven't found any info on though. I will be searching the forum as well.

This gun came in a cardboard box rather than plastic case. The model # on the box is E26R-9-XTM-PROMO Is there anything different about this gun I should be aware of?

Hello, Some of the earlier P226s came in a box like that.

Does the label have a production date for the pistol?

Welcome to the forum from Georgia.

My other Sig is a Steyr...

Welcome, only difference is the grips, p226 are mostly the same, only real Variation might be having a short trigger reset on the 2nd shot being it’s a DA/SA. The box... I have had cardboard on my p227 tacops. Kinda cheap I know..

Again welcome this is a great place to get Info and learn.
