It wasn't very difficult for me because it's not my first piece that I own. All paper work took only 1 week. I can wear and use it only at shooting range. When transporting there or back home it should be closed in a box, away from ammo e.g. gun in a car boot and ammo on backseat. It's not difficult to buy firearms for sport shooting purpose here in Slovenia. But it takes a quite much more time and money when one buys his first piece. Has to be a member of a shooting club, must pass 2 kind of medical examinations and pass an official course for safe-handling firearms. They also check one's past if has any criminal or violence-related records. These "beginner" procedures usually take 2-3 months and aprox. 350 $. But it's almost impossible to get a permission to buy and carry a gun for your own safety.

I am from Novo mesto, about 45 miles to the east of Ljubljana. Once a week I work in Ljubljana and sometimes (about 3 times a year) I go there to IPSC match.

I ran into a lot of "komars" during my last camping trip. Welcome to the forum.
