Alliant Powder periodically reviews and tests their published reloading data to verify that our recommended recipes have not changed over time.

During the latest review Alliant Powder discovered that Alliant Powder's Blue Dot® should not be used in the following applications:

Blue Dot® should NOT be used in the 357 Magnum load using the 125 grain projectile (Blue Dot® recipes with heavier bullet weights as specified in Alliant Powders Reloading Guide are acceptable for use).
Blue Dot® should NOT be used in the 41 Magnum cartridge (all bullet weights).
Use of Blue Dot® in the above cases may cause a high pressure situation that could cause property damage and serious personal injury.
----------------------------------------------
What I don't understand is how they can say, don't use Blue Dot in 41 mag for any weight bullet. but they make no mention of not using it in 44mag, they're both SAAMI rated at 36,000 psi.

I just got a 4 pound jug of Red Dot for $59.

I'm loading 1000, 148gr double ended wad cutters for 357 with 3.0 grs of Red Dot.

I'm a little pissed at myself every time I get 200 loaded I stop what I'm doing and run off to the range with them.

At this rate I'll never get to the rest of the stuff to has to be reloaded.

Thats the same price I paid to the reloaders bench for mine.I am in the mist of using up the last two one pound containers I had on hand,Zero dropped 3-k of bullets on me and it a sickness to get every damn one in a case.
After this I need to get more large pistol CCI primers,it never ends Mad

At this rate I'll never get to the rest of the stuff to has to be reloaded.
