I don’t shoot 230 grainers in my folded slide Sig 220 so don’t have a recipe using them and PowerPistol. I checked Ammoguide and it seems 7.4 grain not max though likely full power. Any pressure signs? I usually go with Sig OE springs but the Wolff springs are great. I especially like their magazine springs. i think you are in fine shape maybe 400 foot pounds of energy.

Are you looking for a 900fps plus load with the 22lb spring?
If you don't find something that works for you - you could experiment with a hardcast Keith style bullet at lower velocity if it will feed. I would think it would handle the two legged and four legged critters.

What is the reason you do not use 230 Gr in your folded steel 220. Should I be concerned?

Check the Alliant website, IIRC their load with PP is 8.1 with 230s, not rated +P either. I did a ladder test with it a couple years ago, and 8. anything is pretty stout. I settled on 7.5 as being plenty stout enough. The accuracy was great, velocity spread very low, about 7 fps I think. This was done using Hornady 230 gr XTPs. Good carry load.

I am not looking for 900 FPS just something with a bit more power then the normal loadings with a 230Gr. The 7.4 Gr of Power Pistol that I loaded has more recoil then the standard stuff.
Using the 22 lb. Wolff recoil spring gives me 100% reliability. If I went with a 230 Gr. hard cast what would be a good load. I have both Unique and 2400?
