Hey Guys,

I came across this today and I'm very tempted to purchase. I was shooting IPSC and PPC until ammo prices went crazy.

I shoot 9mm, .40S&W, and .223/5.56. I know nothing, NOTHING about reloading. Is this a good kit/deal for me to start with:

Thanks!

If all you're gonna load is 100 rounds or so like I do, a single stage is fine.

For what you shoot, you'll want a high production progressive.
Unless you enjoy lots of time away from the wife and all. Wink

LOL... don't have to worry about that yet.. still single :-)

Do you think this has everything I need? I don't know squat about reloading. At this point I don't mind spending the extra time reloading if it saves money. I would prolly do 1,000 rounds at a time of whatever I was reloading either 9mm, .40S&W, and/or .223/5.56.

Will I have to purchase anything extra other then the reloading components if I get this kit? So I buy this kit, get the powder, primers, bullets, and brass then I'm good to go right? I'm assuming it would come with instructions on how to actually reload as well?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You'll want the expensive for set for the 223.
The 9mm and .40 is not a critical.
And case lube for the 223.

Oh as for instructions, 45CAL and I will make a video on how to reload.

1,000 rounds or so at a sitting, not trying to be a smart ass but your ass will fall asleep before you get two hundred loaded ,been there on a rcbs rock chucker.
You can load on that press but I would recommend that you do a little more research and save up for a progressive press.

IMO, you need to buy The ABCs of Reloading BEFORE you buy any gear. Read the sections on metalic reloading then decide. It will take you 20hrs min. to load 1000rds of anything on a single stage press. If you have more time than money, it's viable. A turret kit will allow you to almost double that rate & still pretty basic.
The kit will come w/ most things yo uneed. The Lee kit suffers a bit in the scale is absolute crap, the powder measure barely useful IMO. I would buy the press separately & get a better powder measure & scale. You may also want to add an inexpensive tumbler for cleaning brass & calipers for measuring over all length (OAL).

IF YOU AREN'T HANDLOADING, YOU AREN'T SHOOTING ENOUGH! If you could make your own gas, wouldn't you???

From a single stage press, one hundred round of pistol ammo is about all that my patience can take.

My time is just too valuable.

1000 rounds at a time!!!

You need a progressive unless you plan on being single forever.

Save $900 more, and buy a Dillon 550B with all the goodies.

+1 on the advice to read The ABCs of Reloading BEFORE spending a single penny.
