The only brass I have purchased in many years was 458 Socom and that was 70 cents a pop.
twenty cents a pop sounds reasonable but I might suggest that you go to a shooting range and do some pickup.many folks spray and pray and leave their brass, they probably will give it to you for free.
I like free,it shoots better and is more accurate in match batches if you resize it and trim it.

Is Lake City considered good brass? The only reason I ask is because it’s the only brass so far that my mini14 doesn’t dent up real bad, is it thicker or something?

All military brass is thicker and will not hold as much powder as commercial brass. Its good brass and I have a bunch of it loaded. The L C as all military brass have a primer crimp and it has to be removed to accept the new primer.

Would unprimed brass still have the crimp? If it does whats it take to remove it?

Un primed ,that would a no,the crimp its punched in the case after the primer is in place.
I use a rcbs de buring tool and chuck it in the drill press and do a few K at a time.tool runs about $ 6 bucks
