Just a thought about dillion bullet feeder
I have been looking at bullet feeders GSI stopped selling them so they are out, looked at Mr. bullet feeder and starting wondering if I could take a dillion case feeder and with a little engineering effort make my own ?? 239 price tag with a Hornaday or another manufacture die might just make it possible.

I removed all my cases out of my 9 mm set up tossed some bullets in and they did well just would need to make a flip over ramp lots of them did end up correctly though looks like most just have them travel down a spring tube. I have a cnc machining center so making parts are possible out of uhmw plastic.

I guess the biggest issue would be the feeding die, I bought one once from Hornady and it worked ok but some times it would drop all the bullets.

I haven't seen a Mr. bullet feeder in person but they don't look very refined.

I bought a GSI feeder and fought with it for four days straight before sending it back. (I took a huge bath on that) IMO it was a very well made bad design.

I bought a Mr. Bullet feeder and have been very happy with it. I DON'T change it though. It's on the 650 set up for 45ACAP and it stays there.

If you're really interested in making your own, do your homework, there's plenty of stuff online / Youtube by people who've done the same.

I'm looking at adding the Hornady to my 650 this winter. I'm sure Cabelas will have another retarded deal for us club card holders before long.

The GSI bullet feeders are fantastic, they never made a good collator though.

I bought my first GSI before they offered a collator, so I built my own from the start.

The feeders are good for just about everything except hollow base bullets.

What exactly are you wanting to do? All your going to do with a Dillon case feeder (I assume your talking about their case collator) is supply a tube with cases that are base down. Not going to collate bullets with one without lots and lots of work.

I also own Hornady, MBF and the original KISS feeders, they all work well for jacketed and plated bullets, MBF with coated as well. The dropper style just eat up an extra station so you loose PC or have to seat/crimp at the same station.

The MBF is glorious.

Interested in watching your progress on a home brew bullet feeder..

^ The tool head side of the GSI was very nice. The upper end, though well made... sucked for me. Tons of backwards bullets and jammed. (mine anyway)

Re read your OP and it looks like you want to make your own collator and use it with a Hornady die.

I have done that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9pjmuHAkBU&t=69s

I made most of my collators from 6” PVC pipe and 1/2” plastic.

That said I have also printed a couple with a $160 3D printer, the files are free. Takes awhile but you don’t need a lot of tools or knowledge useing them.
