Hello guys,

I would like to try the (for me) new 130 grain E-tip in .270 Winchester...

I haven't been able to get some load data over here, so I hope you can help with some pet-loads...

Thank you,

best regards from Amsterdam

This is from the Nosler site. If you want a different powder load, let us know what powder. I'm sure someone here can help.

My Hornady manual has several loads available for 130 grain .270 ballistic tips, but they aren't Nosler bullets. I will post those loads if you need them.

Hi AZtrigger,

Thanks for your reply... Can I use the 130 grain Ballistic Tip, Accubond and Partition info stated at the Nosler site also for the new E tip? It's a different material, what do you suggest?

Best regards,

jumme

I would send Nosler an e-mail and request load data from them on their new E-Tip Bullets.

I, too, am interested in trying some of these soon, as I have had no luck with Barnes monolithic bullets.

Sounds like a plan to me, Smokinggun45!
What were your issues with Barnes? I'm very satisfied with their performance although thats only in factoryloads....

best regards

Just my thoughts, but the grain weight is the same, both are boat-tail profile, both bullets have a copper exterior. The only difference is the tip (which has no effect until airborn), and the B-tip is lead core (your barrel will never know).

If I were loading them myself, I would load them the same as a Ballistic tip in the same grain weight.

Contacting Nosler probably isn't a bad idea. Let us know if they reply back with load info please.
