Primer Flipper
I can’t find my old Primer Flipper.

They’re not complicated, they’re cheap enough, are they all about the same or should I buy any particular brand?

Thanks.

I like the RCBS. I don't recall ever being disappointed with any of their products and I love their customer service.

If you can track down one of the old brass ones Dillon makes they are awesome.

I get by fine with the standard RCBS hand primer. This is the older version, not the newer ‘universal’ priming tool.

I’m sure there are other good ones. The few times I’ve called RCBS customer service, they’ve always treated me well. I don’t sniff around for freebies, but if it’s a minor part, they often just send it.

I have one of the good Dillon metal ones. But I have found that with Winchester primers (come in a small box), that you can carefully slide the cover off, over the tray, so they all land top side up. Then it's just one flip to make them ready for the primer tube, no sliding the tray around to bring them up all one way. Doesn't work, though, with primers that are packed in larger boxes, like Federal.

RCBS...works well enough for everything...but you have to be careful with the arrangement of Federal primer boxes or they can bounce out.

Well I wandered into Cabelas.

Man oh man is the reloading department skinnier than a Hollywood starlet.

I got 2 packs of small pistol primers and the RCBS primer flipper.

They only had 5 or 6 one lb bottles of powder, none of which I recognized.

It’s a good thing I stocked up several years ago.

I’ll keep an eBay search going for the older Dillon metal unit, in case one comes up at a reasonable price.
