I want to start putting together some ammo for my new 9mm X-5. Anyone have any good loads they have had success with in their X-5? I am particularly interested in 115 vs 124 vs 147 weights in terms of accuracy. I would also prefer something less snappy but still reliable. This is a fun range gun for me and I am looking for comfortable, accurate loads.

Are you wanting to shoot lead or jacketed/plated?

Jacketed. I ordered some Montana Gold 124 CMJs. But I will buy any jacketed bullet that is a proven winner in the X-5.

I like 4.2 grains of VV 320 or 4.7 grains W231 with that bullet (at least the 124gr CMJ). I think VV 320 is a little expensive and hard to get though. Both are dead nuts accurate in my X-Five 9mm (L1 and Tactical).
I've also had accurate loads with 6.2 grains of Power Pistol (or higher Wink ) but it's a little hot for continuous target shooting in my opinion.

How about a successful criminal background check, credit check and IQ test for politicians?

Thanks husker. I have 231 and I'll give it a go.

truly, go ahead and give me your lead data in case I get some lead projectiles for it. One advantage of shooting lead at my range is I can shoot the poppers.

well, i've been working on a load for a 147gr plated bullet, and so far I've had decent luck with 3.9gr unique and wsp loaded to 1.135 with a light taper crimp. Will chrono the results when I get a chance but it should make minor pf easily.

Just noticed I gave you the clays gr weight that I use with 130gr BBI bullets. For the 124gr CMJ's the clays load is identical to N310. 3.7gr
