If you are looking for less felt recoil, you might try a lighter bullet.

I've been using Win 95gn FMJ with 3.5gn Unique, .960 OAL for 760fps.

Also, Montana Gold 95gn JHP with 4.3gn AA#5, .960 OAL for 732fps.

For reference, Federal Hydra Shock with 95gn JHP go 844fps from the same pistol.

At 10 yards and under, all these shoot to the same point of aim from my LCP. The interesting part is that I can't really tell a difference in recoil between any of these loads.

Please be sure to check and double check if you choose to try these out.

Something to consider. With my .380 if I go tooo light I find I have trouble with jams.
I guess I need the slightly heavier loads to cycle properly.

I haven't had any problems with the reloads in my LCP. The #5 powder is a bit low and you could probably bump it up a little for a cleaner burn but be careful with that. Small changes in small capacity cases make huge difference in pressure.

The only reason I reload for the .380 is simply becuase of the inability to find range ammo when I bought the LCP. I really didn't want to waste SD ammo at the range, especially at $1/round +. Since I already had the primers and powder, along with some 600 empty cases, all I needed was bullets and dies. Local shop had the Winchester bullets in stock and the dies came from Dillon. Good to go!

If I remember correctly, the loads are near starting loads. Again, please be careful. The part I'm having trouble with is that no one else listed any loads. Surely I'm not the only one that loads light. Or am I?

I use 3.2 gr Power pistol with berry's 100gr plated bullets works great in my P230. No jams and feel recoil is light.
