I've seen folks use a tumbler instead of a shaker/vibrator. Always deprime AFTER tumbling. Unless you just want to poke the media out of the primer holes with a toothpick.
So this is how liberty dies... with thunderous applause.

And just to ask a completely stupid question is depriming a seperate task or something a dillon 550b would do for me? (that is the press I am looking at saving for as I get more educated and such)
Thanks again! (going to get media at the pet store tonight and try 500 rounds of brass this weekend)

I know nothing about reloading but those things polish rocks as smooth as glass, should do the same to brass with the right media

The 550 will knock out the primer, resize then push forward on the handle and a primer is inserted.

There is a learning curve with the Dillon. It takes a while to get used to the functions and settings. It becomes easier with experience. As far as the rock tumbler, I'd go to a pet store and get crushed walnut shells to use as media.

Currently there are Reloading equipment manufacturers that a selling case cleaners that are similar to rock tumblers. You will find if you use ground corn cobs as found at Walmart created for guinea pig cage bedding, and the cheapest liquid car polish...your cases will look as if you use the expensive media and case polish,

I want to tumble then deprime right? And then it will be ready for my press when I get it?
The goal is to start prepping all my brass as I collect it so that when I get a press I am ready to go!
Thanks, STeven
It's what I use.

I have the perception that a rotary with dry mix will take a bit longer to clean brass than a vibratory but those things are built to run forever and you already have it to try. Go for it.
