New to the board and just got my first Sig and the question of holsters. I've carried for about 2 years now, almost exclusively 1911 frames. I have a SIG Pro 2022 and am having the devils own time finding a holster IWB or OWB. So far in the leather carry rigs like Galco, DeSantis, and others advertise for the Sig 2XX line of pistols and I find almost nothing for the 2022. My question is would any of the holsters made for the Sig 2XX line fit a SP2022 also?

Thanks

Go to Southener Holsters . Tom is a great guy and I have 4 of his holsters . I even prefer his products to the VMII because it sits lower in the waist that the VMII . You can choose between the IWB Memphis and the OWB Savannah models. Waiting time is around a month .

If you're going for an off the shelf holster like Galco, try fitting your 2022 to a holster made for the XD.

I'd recommend getting something made for about the same money. Ryan does great work, or you could try a crossbreed or a MTAC.

Welcome to the board. I have a Blackhawk leather IWB for my 2022. Check the Blackhawk website, someone posted they now have some in the sale area.

Thanks all for your input, I ended up buying a Galco high ride. I'll order a custom one later, since I've spent all my mad money on a Tucker rig for my Kimber CDP.

Thanks to hi-power man and Abn556 for the recommendation. I just ordered a Blackhawk IWB for my 2022. It's on sale for $32 so it was a no-brainer.

Hi-power, is that a flat baseplate on your mag? Looks interesting.

A +1 for XD compatible keeping in mind leather is better than plastic for compatibility.

I bought 2 Don Hume's an IWB with large "C" clamp and reinforced mouth for $27 and a pancake OWB for $40. Great quality at a great price.

My favorite IWB is T&T Gunleather.

I received my Blackhawk today. Seems like a great bargain for $32. I noticed that only certain holsters were on sale, the others were at the $62 regular price.

I haven't worn the holster yet but the SigPro fits nicely and retention is very good. There's a retention adjustment screw to fine tune the fit. The snap loop appears to fit up to 1 3/4" belt. I'd love to try to make it a little smaller as I have a 1 1/4" belt on the way. No big deal though, I'm fine wearing it as-is.

Ditto on the Countryboy from RGrizzle. I love carrying my 2022 in that thing, I can easily conceal it with shorts and a T-shirt and it's very comfortable. I liked it so much I ordered a couple more for other pistols.

My blackhawk holster came in today. The build quality seems decent "made in Italy". I tried the holster with my 2022 and my 2340 also. It fits better with my 2022. I have the retention basically bottom out in the loose position and its still tight. Probably going to let the gun sit in the holster for a while to break it in. The only other holster I have to compare it to is my VM2 and honesly this holster doesn't hold a candle to it in terms of comfort but I kinda expected that......a little. You can't change the belt snap either which is kinda a bummer also. Either way its definitely worth the discounted price, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

Hey neighbor Smile

I got to wear mine a few more times. I guess I'm in agreement; for $32 it's a good deal but for $65 there are better choices. I was having a problem with the belt un-snapping. I think there was some operator error involved as this type of holster is new to me. Overall no real complaints. If I decide that I'd like to carry this gun more often I'm sure I'll spring for an RGrizzle or other custom holster.

Always good to see locals on the board.

Yeah I were mine over the weekend and was just messing around drawing from the holster. It was a little difficult getting the gun out of the holster. Didn't have any problems with the snapping though like you mentioned. I actually used the holster yesterday wearing sweat pants, lol. It didn't move at all with the belt snap resting on the waist ban. Given I wouldn't go for a jog like that but it works for walking around normally.
