Hey guys and gals,

I have decided to order a MTAC for my P2000. I also decided to get a beltman gun belt to go along with it.

Now comes the 2nd degree of decisions...

I will be ordering both standard clips and v clips. (Already decided)

If I am going to wear the standard clips 98% of the time, I will probably skip getting the velcro sewn into the beltman, and just use the adhesive for the other 2%..

The question really comes down to:
1) Which will I wear more often
2) How much bulkier/annoyance does the velco insert add if i will rarely use it
3) Do v clips only matter when you tuck your short in, or are they always mre concealable

Lets say as a referance point I tuck my shirt in or wear a shorter sweater 20% of the time. (Not that V clips are only relevent to those situations)

Thanks Guys,
Alex

Question:
Should I get the velco insert on the beltman belt I am ordering?

Choices:
NO- You will probably wear the standard most of the time becasue they are easier to put on and slightly more stable. Skip the extra velco because it will be bulkier and for the few occasions you want to wear the v clips, you can just use the adhesive.
YES- You will probably wear the standard most of the time becasue they are easier to put on and slightly more stable. But get the velco anyways. It is not a big differance so you might as well.
YES- The V clips are the bomb and you will be using them msot of the time. It dose not matter if you tuck your shirt in or not

I voted they are the bomb, but I wear a tucked shirt half of the year durring the warmer months. When it is cooler, I use a leather looped holster that my untucked shirt covers which I find more comfortable than a Kydex clip.

I've got the Beltman with the velcro and love it. It is the only way to get complete concealment.

I have a cross breed belt with Velcro and love it, my next belt will be from Looper police supply, They have a 11/4 inch belt with Velcro for 30 dollars cheeper, crossbreed only offers a 11/2 belt which is to wide for dress.

I didn't have any luck getting the velcro to stick to the inside of my belts, so on the pre-V-clip belts I had it sewn in (spendy asspain) and ordered it included on the belts I got after that. IMO it adds nothing to the bulk of the belt- they're already heavy and stiff.

Another advantage of the CompTac V-clips is that there's hookside velcro on the clip surface in contact with the outside waistband of your pants. This does grind on your pants, but it also helps to keep your holster from sliding around.

Velcro=good.

I've not owned a heavy belt without it so I wouldn't know any difference, but it's nothing I even ever gave any thought to until you asked, so I don't think it is an issue.

I have the velcro sewn into mine even though I wear the standard clips 99% of the time. I would have it added

I find the velcro clips easier (albeit noisy) to get on and off.The holster all but dissapears
and if you want to tuck..( i find it a pita)
You certainly can.I vote yes on the v clips and sewn in Beltman velcro.
