Not to be a smartass....but I would think a gun's reliability and how well you can shoot it would be higher up the requirement list.

It's a SIG, so it's extremely reliable and easy to shoot. And, I can keep inside the center of mass out to about 20 yards, which is far greater than should ever be needed in a gun fight.

OTOH, my house guns are P220 an P226, both of which have much larger mags.

Not putting down the P232 or your shooting....just your primary requirements.

The following will meet your pimary needs also: Jennings, Bryco, Raven and Lorcin. Big Grin

As I said, for me, it's a matter of size and weight preferences for my style of dress. It's hard to hide a P220 in a bathing suit or a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. Cool I regularly play tennis with a P232 in my pocket and no one has ever spotted it, and it didn't effect my game, such as it is. Smile

As for those other brands, I don't consider any of them to be close to SIG quality.

I shoot the 9mm better than I do the 45ACP. I have the 239 SAS because the grips (factory wood) fit me perfectly. The DAK trigger suits me just fine, and it looks nice ridin' in an Alessi CQC/S.

I switch between the 226 Navy and my P7M8. I carry one for a while then carry the other.

Hey, BrainOnSigs, does it make me low rent that I own a stainless Lorcin .22 auto? Eek And it's accuracy, single-handed, at 7 yards, will stand up to the charge of the Mosquito. (Purely in jest, 'ole boy! Just wanted to come clean...)

I just shot it this weekend and it's still got what it takes in terms of accuracy. It's amazing for a $69 pistol!

I did manage to destroy the extractor so I'm back to the shop to make a new one out of some steel plate that I have.

My carry is split between a Taurus PT745 MilPro using Winchester .45 SXZ's from Bass Pro and my Sig P220 Carry DAK with Federal Hydrashoks depending on my mode of dress.

It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have. It is a weapon that we as Americans do have. Let that be understood by those who practice terrorism and prey upon their neighbors. - Ronald Reagan, Inaugural Address, January 20, 1981

Can't read the number, but it looks like a 239, right? Excellent. Cool

P220 or P225 Depends on the weather. If its hot I go for the P225, if its cold, more clothes, P220.

Right now I only have one Sig. My P6 is a darn good carry gun. Will have a P220ST soon but don't think I will carry it. Wouldn't mind a nice used P245.
