Maybe that was me Wink

I haven't seen them at any of "our" Wal-Marts. But, I found one at the damn Alltel store I stopped at on Valencia and Midvale during lunch today. Mad I'm working on my letter now.

Ya know, when i was in college, i was young and idealistic. Hated walmart and all it stood for. Heck, they even built near/on a famous archeological site in Mexico.--the savages....
Then I joined the Army and started living 100% on my own paycheck. I became a realist real quick. When it comes to groceries and .45 ammo, Walmart is my sugar mama. Razz

Other than Municipal, Courts and Federal Buildings if they have a sign I ignore it. If they do not have Security and a check station for weapons I ignore it. What are you suppose to do take it off your belt, let someone see that in the parking lot and than find it stolen when you come back. I don't think so. My permit says Concealed and I don't leave home without it. I shoot competitively and shoot scores at 98% and higher, I will not trust an unarmed security boy or armed rent a cop with my safety and my families safety. SORRY

I just got 1000rds of Blazer 9mm from Natchez for 7.99/50. Even after shipping it came in cheaper than WM and was delivered to my doorstep in 3 days. Well worth not having to set foot in WM and IMO better ammo than the WWB they usually carry.

Be sure to check the laws in your state concerning such postings. In TN, that sign would not be legally binding. I ignore all postings that do not follow the proper guidelines.

Is there a previous reason to not shop at Walmart? I mean I don't often like their goods, but if I need something I think they have, what is bad about them?

wow.where do i begin .
maybe it's their contribution to
chinas Gross national product.(about 13%)
More than russia.
Maybe it's the waltons are the richest family
in the world yet they7 receive every govt subsidie they can(we pay for that)..
Maybe it's that their employees are paid so little that they are eligible for welfare medical benefits.(we pay for that too).
Maybe it's because they put small town
business down the tubes.
watch this video
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3836296181471292925

Walmart pays market rate. The food unions hate Walmart because their employees don't want to join a union. Since Walmart sells groceries now, it is taking away money from the supermarket unions. That is causing the unions to put out anti-Walmart propaganda.

Hmm Propaganda appears to be bipartisan..LOL

Penn and Teller used to be kinda cool .
But something has happened to them in the last few years..They've kinda of sold out their
values. Well everyone has to make a living i guess. I agree though nice smock..

Walmart food employees can't afford union dues.10.41/hr average full time salary includes.
the waltons income..thats why it is so high.
If you took the top 10% out you would have a different story.

In Oklahoma, the 'no guns' signs are legally meaningless unless they are on the list of places you can't carry (schools, govt. offices, etc.).

Without suggesting that anyone break any laws, concealed means concealed.

+1 in Missouri

I would rather be told I couldn't shop there anymore than be dead.

+2 for Texas. Also my CHL instructor made a good point last week. He said that one reason that you dont see the 30.06 sign (Texas penal code) is that it immediately implies that the management or establishment is now somewhat responsible for your safety. By denying your right to CC in their building they now take on the liability to defend you from other crazies.

Don't think that the Wally lawyers don't know about that.
I doubt what your CHL instructor told you is true. The option of entering their store is still up to you. So you are responsible for your own safety.

I would say though, that if they post a no-guns sign than you respect your wishes and not shop their. It is rude to ignore their wishes just because it is inconvenient for you.

I know this subject has been beat to death, but I hope States start passing legislation that outlaws such signs. Imagine the national uproar if there were signs posted that read "Free Speech is banned while on these premises."

I hope our Governor in Texas follows through on pushing this like he said he would after the Virginia Tech shootings.

Walmart sells crap. Don't shop there. Plus, who cares about signs? If something goes down and you save a life then you've done well. If Walmart or any other business has the balls to sue or prosecute me after I kept an innocent person/people alive then let em. Worse comes to worse I'll go to jail knowing I did the right thing.
